I expected less static cling when using these balls.

Thanks so much for the review, and for being straight with us about the static.

The honest answer is that alpaca balls take the edge off static rather than getting rid of it entirely. They work by keeping everything moving and separated in the drum, which softens the load and speeds up drying, but synthetic fabrics will still hold a charge, and we would rather say that plainly than oversell what they do.

One thing that seems to help is stopping the dryer a little early, while things are still slightly damp.

They are nice and heavy

They are nice and heavy. I love these and quit using softener a long time ago.
My old ones also were Alpaca but they are about 8 years old and not from the same company. I have tried to boil one but it only helped a little. New ones are sure worth it.

Excellent product

I have been using will balls instead of dryer sheets for years now and these are an excellent version.

The only quibble I have is that they do not come with a cloth bag to keep them together for trips to and from the laundry room.
